Stephen is the Lucasian Professor for Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. This position means that he is based in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, or DAMTP. He is also the head of the General Relativity group within DAMTP. The work of the many academics and students has been described within the GR home pages. The members of the group have also put together a series of public pages, in an attempt to explain their work. Stephen is also the principle investigator for the COSMOS National Cosmology Supercomputer.
